Minnesota Offering Farms Opportunity for Deep Winter Greenhouses

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Research, Education, Extension, and Technology Transfer program has funding to support research, development, and beta construction of five farm-scale deep winter greenhouses. The new award provides supplemental funding for selected farms to partner with the University to build a farm-scale deep winter greenhouse.

What if you could better protect your soybean yield from a threat you may never see above ground?

Every year, we try to bring around 10 new trials to the PTI Farm, and a study of Nemasphere Soybeans is one of the new trials we've introduced this year. This new development from BASF is intended to provide an additional layer of protection against soybean cyst nematode (SCN).

We're excited to continue to monitor this, and we hope it's another tool growers can use to protect yield potential in the years ahead.
