New Case IH Steiger QuadTrac & RowTrac Tractors.

RACINE, Wis.The new Case IH Tier 4 B/Final Steiger® lineup offers the highest-horsepower agricultural tractor available in the market today – the Steiger 620. This behemoth tractor is part of the next generation of Steiger tractors, with significantly increased horsepower and upgraded cab features to help producers make the most of long workdays.

"The Steiger 620 is designed to easily handle the industry’s largest tillage tools, and do it with less fuel," says Mitch Kaiser, Case IH Steiger Tractor Marketing Manager.

To help pull through tough spots, the 620 boasts 682 maximum engine horsepower (hp). An additional 35 hp power boost delivers extra power for transport, hydraulics and PTO. Like the majority of the Steiger line, the 620 is powered by a 12.9-L Case IH FPT engine with two-stage turbocharging.

The new Steiger lineup offers producers seven models in both wheeled and track configurations:

Steiger Family Grows

The Steiger 540 has been added to the lineup, expanding the Steiger family to seven models. Delivering 605 peak horsepower, the Steiger 540 is capable of handling larger, wider and heavier implements, so operators make fewer passes and impact less soil area, helping to minimize soil compaction.

Upgrades Across the Board

All of the new Steiger models offer more torque, improved lugging power and more responsive performance than ever before. Operating big planters and seeders has never been easier, with eight hydraulic remotes and the most hydraulic flow in the industry – up to 113 gallons per minute (gpm). The industry’s strongest frame and longest wheelbase with superior weight distribution also contribute to legendary Steiger pulling power.

"Customer input drove every design change," says Kaiser. "Our engineers spent time with producers and collected their feedback to fine-tune these tractors and improve our customers’ productivity."

Multifunction Handle Made Even Easier

Several updates have been made to the Multifunction Handle. A thumb wheel setting for field Diesel Saver™ Automatic Productivity Management (APM) control allows producers to make easier, more positive shifts, while also saving fuel. The thumb wheel control also sets the desired field ground speed, just like cruise control in a car.

"We also redesigned the buttons so they’re raised, larger, softer and sized to differentiate functions," says Kaiser. "Now you can tell the buttons apart by touch alone, making switching between functions even simpler. The upgraded handle also is backlit to make working at night easier."

As Case IH customers have come to expect, the next generation Steigers are equipped with the spacious cab with the most glass in the four-wheel drive class, offering outstanding visibility and sight lines.

The Surveyor™ cab also includes new features, such as ventilation fans for cooling leather seats, an extendable lower seat cushion to provide more thigh and leg support, and a right-hand power fore and aft adjustment for positioning of the MultiControl Armrest for the precise operating comfort position an operator desires.

Like their predecessors, the new Steiger models come with, factory-installed Case IH Advanced Farming Systems® (AFS), including the AFS Pro 700 control center. The AFS Pro 700 manages a wide range functions, including AFS AccuGuide™ autoguidance, tractor performance monitoring, implement control and more.
