New Front Linkage and PTO option increases MF 1700 38-46hp Tractor Versatility still further

From Massey Ferguson News, www.masseyferguson.co

Massey Ferguson is proud to announce that a completely new front linkage and front PTO are now available for the MF 1740 and the MF 1747 models to increase the versatility of these tractors in order to perform an even wider range of different tasks.

MF 1700 compact tractors from 38-46hp are the perfect small workhorses for amenity and agricultural applications, and this new option gives the possibility to work with a greater variety of useful implements including front mounted mowers, cultivators, brushes, snow blades and blowers.

The new front linkage boasts a substantial 1200kg lift capacity, allowing a wide range of powerful implements to be operated efficiently.

Its full-frame design offers excellent integration?with the tractor chassis, so there is no compromise on manoeuvrability or visibility when the linkage and PTO are fitted.

Two double-acting cylinders with float position give outstanding convenience and efficiency to handle and control more complex attachments. The front spool valve has two outlets giving hydraulic flow of up to 74.3 litres/min.

Category 1 hook end arms provide easy attachment of all implements, and a transport lock provides added security and peace of mind when travelling with an attachment in place.

Operation of the front linkage lift/lower is via the joystick fitted as standard on MF 1700 models which is conveniently positioned to the operator’s right hand. The joystick also controls the flow either to the front couplers on the linkage, or if not using the front linkage, the standard mid-mounted outlets.

An integrated front PTO is available, enabling the operation of PTO-driven implements to further increase versatility and efficiency.

The PTO features anti-clockwise rotation delivering 2000rpm at 2600 engine rpm and its 13/8in six-spline shaft is compatible with a wide range of equipment. A Soft Start function, which can be adjusted manually by a dial next to the PTO engagement button, provides progressive engagement, protecting the tractor and implement. Front and rear PTO engagement are simultaneous.

The MF 1740 is powered by a turbocharged three-cylinder engine that generates 38hp (ISO), while the MF 1747 is equipped with the latest design four-cylinder engine which delivers 46hp (ISO).
