New Provincial Ex GM Focusing On The Big Picture

The new general manager of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is settling in nicely to his new role.

Ron Kristjansson has been on the job since September 8th. He says his previous experience as a volunteer and director is serving him well and that he's learning a lot more about how the business side of the organization works.

"It's a different perspective," said Kristjansson. "You're a little more big picture, looking where I'm looking now, than where I was on some of the committees I was on...From where I'm at now I have to look at the big picture first and then hope that those guys that are on the different committees and different groups continue to work in the amazing way they have, to put things on."

Kristjansson notes he's excited for the upcoming Manitoba Livestock Expo, as it was one of the events that he was involved with before he became general manager.

He adds planning is also underway for the winter and summer fairs.

The Manitoba Livestock Expo takes place November 6-8 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.
