The Board of Directors for the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission have elected Brett Halstead of Nokomis as the new Board Chair .
Halstead takes over from outgoing Chair Laura Reiter who has reached her term limits.
Reiter served on the Board of Directors for six years and took on several committee roles.
Halstead was first elected as a Sask Wheat Director in November 2017.
He served as a director with SaskCanola for eight years and represented SaskCanola on the Board of the Canadian Canola Growers Association.
Jake Leguee of Filmore was elected to serve as Vice-Chair of Sask Wheat.
Last fall he represented SaskWheat on the New Crop Trade Mission Durum Tour to Italy, Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco.
