Saskatchewan Cattle Prices Continue Upward Movement In Latest Weekly Summary

 
Saskatchewan cattle prices were showing stronger levels during the past week.
 
Provincial livestock economist Brad Marceniuk says cattle markets were higher across North America due to stronger packer demand and higher beef cutout values with the start of barbecue season.
 
Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices were higher with feeder steers averaging over five dollars per hundredweight higher than the previous week.
 
A total of 11 thousand head of cattle were sold in Saskatchewan last week, down from 12 thousand the week before.
