Unused medication and pesticide collection coming to Manitoba this fall

The Canadian Animal Health Institute (CAHI) is working with CleanFARMS to conduct a collection of unwanted, obsolete and expired livestock medications and pesticides at no cost to producers. You can take advantage of this opportunity at 19 locations in Manitoba from October 24-28, 2016. Click here to go to the CleanFARMS website for details on dates and locations.

CleanFARMS also partners with ag-retailers and municipalities to collect empty commercial pesticide and fertilizer containers that are less than 23 litres in size. Producers can drop off clean containers at the nearest collection site at no charge. After the containers are collected and processed, the plastic from the containers is then recycled into valuable material that can be used back on the farm, such as farm drainage tile.
