USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 266,600 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were down 35 percent from the previous week and 41 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Sri Lanka (64,500 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,000 MT), Thailand (62,600 MT), Indonesia (62,200 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 800 MT), South Korea (48,300 MT), Japan (42,900 MT), and Mexico (38,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (165,400 MT), Malaysia (2,000 MT), and El Salvador (1,200 MT).  Net sales of 38,800 MT for 2015/2016 were for Italy (20,000 MT), the Philippines (9,000 MT), Colombia (5,500 MT), Guatemala (2,400 MT), and unknown destinations (1,900 MT).  Exports of 391,900 MT were up 5 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Thailand (92,700 MT), Indonesia (70,200 MT), Sri Lanka (64,500 MT), Mexico (39,200 MT), and Japan (34,300 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 3,800 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 50,300 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 932,200 MT for 2014/2015 were down 7 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for Taiwan (257,100 MT), South Korea (186,300 MT, including 136,000 MT switched from Japan), Japan (164,100 MT, including 112,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 18,300 MT), Mexico (148,100 MT), Morocco (60,400 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Algeria (42,800 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,500 MT), Chile (35,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), and Colombia (31,400 MT, including 27,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 16,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (106,500 MT) and Canada (2,600 MT).  Net sales of 143,200 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (136,800 MT) and Japan (6,400 MT).  Exports of 696,200 MT were up 13 percent from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (158,500 MT), Mexico (154,000 MT), Algeria (87,800 MT), Colombia (68,700 MT), Morocco (60,200 MT), Chile (35,000 MT), and Costa Rica (26,800 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  Net sales of 500 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Japan.  Exports of 15,700 MT were reported to Japan (15,500 MT) and Taiwan (200 MT).  

Sorghum: Net sales of 35,800 MT for 2014/2015--a marketing-year low--were down 89 percent from the previous week and 87 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were for China (80,800 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 35,000 MT) and Japan (10,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (55,000 MT).  Net sales of 54,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations.  Exports of 270,900 MT were up 61 percent from the previous week and 65 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.  

Rice:  Net sales of 98,200 MT for 2014/2015 were down 22 from the previous week, but up 24 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (37,700 MT), Colombia (31,500 MT), Mexico (21,500 MT), Honduras (5,800 MT), and Taiwan (5,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for Saudi Arabia (6,300 MT).  Exports of 16,800 MT were down 37 percent from the previous week and 78 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (9,600 MT), Canada (2,600 MT), Saudi Arabia (1,500 MT), South Korea (1,300 MT), and Yemen (900 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 505,600 MT for 2014/2015 were down 32 percent from the previous week, but up 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (205,100 MT, including 115,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 60,100 MT), the Netherlands (139,200 MT, including 130,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Indonesia (130,700 MT), Japan (77,600 MT, including 45,300 MT switched from unknown destinations), Vietnam (68,500 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Portugal (65,000 MT, switched from Spain), South Korea (56,900 MT, including 61,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 4,700 MT), and Bangladesh (56,500 MT, including 52,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).   Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (266,200 MT), Spain (65,000 MT), Egypt (6,700 MT), and Germany (5,100 MT).  Net sales of 115,900 MT for 2015/2016 were for China (110,000 MT) and Japan (5,900 MT).  Exports of 1,354,700 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (690,200 MT), the Netherlands (139,200 MT), Vietnam (69,600 MT), Taiwan (65,700 MT), Portugal (65,000 MT), South Korea (57,000 MT), Bangladesh (56,500 MT), and Japan (51,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, decreases in optional origin sales totaling 60,000 MT were reported for China.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 703,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 316,600 MT for 2014/2015 were up 67 percent from the previous week and 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Thailand (88,700 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico 51,600 MT), Denmark (48,900 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 6,100 MT), Poland (25,800 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Dominican Republic (20,200 MT), and Guatemala (18,000 MT, including 15,300 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (18,100 MT), Spain (1,000 MT), and Canada (300 MT).  Net sales of 35,900 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (23,100 MT) and Panama (9,200 MT).  Exports of 384,800 MT were up 36 percent from the previous week and 53 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Thailand (49,400 MT), Denmark (48,900 MT), the Philippines (44,300 MT), Mexico (33,300 MT), France (31,700 MT), Egypt (28,200 MT), and Poland (25,800 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 10,900 MT for 2014/2015 were down 32 percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Dominican Republic (4,000 MT), Mexico (3,300 MT), Peru (2,200 MT), and Costa Rica (1,000 MT).  Exports of 9,800 MT were down 37 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (4,000 MT), Jamaica (3,500 MT), Guatemala (1,000 MT), and Honduras (1,000 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales reductions of 69,700 RB for 2014/2015 RB--a marketing-year low--were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Indonesia (16,600 RB, including 3,100 RB switched from Japan and 2,400 RB switched from China), South Korea (7,000 RB, including 2,200 RB switched from Vietnam), Vietnam (5,900 RB, including 7,400 RB switched from China and decreases of 5,500 RB), Malaysia (5,800 RB), and Taiwan (3,700 RB, including 900 RB switched from South Korea).  Decreases were reported for Turkey (81,700 RB), China (19,700 RB), and Mexico (13,300 RB).  Net sales of 29,800 RB for 2015/2016 reported for Mexico (20,800 RB), Thailand (8,400 RB), and Colombia (3,500 RB), were partially offset by decreases for Honduras (2,800 RB).  Exports of 288,500 RB were unchanged from the previous week, but up 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Vietnam (60,600 RB), Turkey (56,600 RB), China (54,900 RB), Indonesia (25,500 RB), and Mexico (18,100 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 8,600 RB for 2014/2015 were down 39 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for India (3,600 RB), Pakistan (2,200 RB), and China (2,200 RB).  Exports of 17,900 RB--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (14,800 RB) and Pakistan (2,600 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 600 RB to China were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 48,400 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 333,200 pieces reported for 2015 were down 18 percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 333,100 pieces were primarily for China (243,500 pieces), South Korea (30,600 pieces), Taiwan (29,400 pieces), Mexico (17,500 pieces), and Vietnam (6,800 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Canada (400 pieces).  Exports of 427,800 pieces were up 26 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports totaling 422,300 pieces, were primarily to China (299,700 pieces), South Korea (77,900 pieces), Thailand (20,700 pieces), Mexico (8,800 pieces), and Taiwan (6,500 pieces).

Net sales of 200,600 wet blues for 2015 were reported for Taiwan (92,100 unsplit and 100 grain splits), Italy (36,000 unsplit and 24,900 grain splits), China (21,300 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (20,000 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (8,900 grain splits) and Japan (400 grain splits).   Exports of 142,200 wet blues were primarily to China (47,100 unsplit), Italy (28,100 unsplit and 9,200 grain splits), Mexico (14,800 grain splits and 5,500 unsplit), and Thailand (13,100 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 57,900 pounds for 2015 were for Hong Kong (100,000 pounds).   Decreases were reported for South Korea (42,100 pounds).   Exports of 54,000 pounds were reported to Hong Kong (50,000 pounds) and South Korea (4,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 10,800 MT for 2015 were down 22 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (3,000 MT), Hong Kong (2,800 MT), Japan (1,600 MT), South Korea (1,200 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT).  Exports of 11,500 MT were reported to South Korea (3,400 MT), Japan (2,300 MT), Mexico (1,800 MT), Hong Kong (1,500 MT), and Canada (1,000 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 13,800 MT for 2015 were down 43 percent  from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (4,000 MT), Japan (3,200 MT), South Korea (2,200 MT), the Philippines (900 MT), and Colombia (600 MT).  Exports of 17,900 MT were reported to Mexico (7,200 MT), South Korea (3,400 MT), Japan (3,100 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), and Colombia (600 MT).
