USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:  Net sales of 502,800 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were up 73 percent from the previous week.  Increases were reported for Chile (67,800 MT), China (60,700 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (57,200 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 300 MT), Japan (49,300 MT), Mexico (45,600 MT), and Nigeria (44,000 MT).   Exports of 582,300 MT were up noticeably from the previous week.  The primary destinations were China (121,700 MT), Nigeria (74,200 MT), Chile (67,800 MT), the Philippines (57,200 MT), Guatemala (50,500 MT), Brazil (46,600 MT), and Taiwan (46,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 23,000 MT, all Italy.

Exports for Own Account:  Decreases in exports for own account totaling 8,000 MT were reported to Italy.  The current exports for own account balance is 33,800 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 223,400 MT for delivery in 2014/2015--a marketing-year low--were down 33 percent from the previous week and 54 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Colombia (110,000 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from Panama and decreases of 300 MT), Japan (99,200 MT, including 94,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 59,500 MT), Portugal (83,200 MT, including 77,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (76,700 MT), South Korea (66,500 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,400 MT), and Egypt (65,000 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (321,400 MT), Panama (60,600 MT), and New Zealand (4,200 MT).  Net sales of 311,400 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Japan (147,300 MT) and Mexico (105,200 MT).   Exports of 1,156,800 MT were up 2 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (245,900 MT), Mexico (218,300 MT), South Korea (121,500 MT), Colombia (86,300 MT), Portugal (83,200 MT), and Taiwan (78,200 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 52,500 MT, all Egypt.

Barley: There were no sales or exports reported during the week.  

Sorghum: Net sales of 6,500 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for unknown destinations (58,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for China (51,500 MT).  Net sales of 105,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for China.  Exports of 116,500 MT were up 55 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.

Rice:  Net sales of 9,400 MT for 2014/2015 were down 91 percent from the previous week and 88 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Venezuela (30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Haiti (14,300 MT), Mexico (6,800 MT), New Guinea (3,200 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (28,000 MT), Turkey (20,000 MT), and Taiwan (300 MT).  Net sales of 132,400 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Iraq (60,000 MT), Iran (60,000 MT), unknown destinations (5,500 MT), and Honduras (3,400 MT).  Exports of 92,400 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and up 53 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (30,000 MT), Haiti (14,300 MT), Mexico (12,700 MT), Japan (12,000 MT), and Ghana (7,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 100 MT were reported to Canada.  The current exports for own account balance is 200 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 80,800 MT for 2014/2015 were up 78 percent from the previous week and 65 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Netherlands (106,400 MT, including 98,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (33,000 MT), Indonesia (28,000 MT), Colombia (6,200 MT, including 5,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Switzerland (3,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (98,500 MT) and Vietnam (2,000 MT).  Net sales of 241,800 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico (74,800 MT), China (63,000 MT), unknown destinations (55,000 MT), and Japan (30,000 MT).  Exports of 315,900 MT were up 87 percent from the previous week and 56 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Netherlands (106,400 MT), Mexico (69,100 MT), Bangladesh (54,100 MT), Taiwan (41,400 MT), and Japan (17,800 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 475,000 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 385,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 65,800 MT for 2014/2015 were up 99 percent from the previous week, but down 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Venezuela (63,000 MT, including 33,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and 30,000 MT switched from Panama), Mexico (41,400 MT), Jamaica (10,000 MT), Canada (5,500 MT), Trinidad (2,000 MT), and Japan (1,600 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (29,900 MT), Panama (28,100 MT), and Colombia (1,200 MT).  Net sales reductions of 32,100 MT for 2015/2016 resulted as increases for Canada (10,800 MT), Ecuador (6,000 MT), Guatemala (4,400 MT), Mexico (1,200 MT), and Panama (500 MT), were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (55,000 MT).  Exports of 138,400 MT were down 22 percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (91,000 MT), Canada (15,200 MT), Mexico (15,100 MT), Sri Lanka (4,400 MT), Colombia (3,900 MT), and Bangladesh (3,200 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 18,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Panama (10,000 MT), Mexico (4,600 MT), and Venezuela (3,000 MT).   Exports of 16,100 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Dominican Republic (4,600 MT), Mexico (4,100 MT), Jamaica (4,000 MT), and Costa Rica (1,600 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 91,500 RB for 2014/2015 were up 79 percent from the previous week and 64 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (50,800 RB, including 3,400 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 100 RB), South Korea (13,400 RB), Turkey (13,000 RB), and China (8,200 RB, including 4,400 RB switched from Vietnam and decreases of 300 RB).  Decreases were reported for Japan (3,400 RB), Honduras (2,900 RB), and Peru (1,000 RB).  Net sales of 45,500 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Mexico (24,000 RB), Thailand (6,300 RB), and El Salvador (4,800 RB).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (2,400 RB) and Indonesia (2,200 RB).  Exports of 173,400 RB were up 27 percent from the previous week, but down 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Turkey (36,600 RB), China (30,000 RB), Vietnam (24,300 RB), Mexico (20,700 RB), and Indonesia (14,300 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 2,200 RB for 2014/2015 were down 75 percent from the previous week and 67 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported primarily for Pakistan (1,000 RB) and Peru (900 RB).  Net sales of 2,200 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for Peru (900 RB), India (600 RB), China (400 RB), and Colombia (300 RB).  Exports of 4,700 RB were down 62 percent from the previous week and 61 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (1,800 RB), hailand (1,100 RB), and India (1,000 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account:   The current exports for own account balance is 48,500 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 490,900 pieces for 2015, were up 4 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 488,800 pieces were primarily for China (280,000 pieces), South Korea (90,100 pieces), Taiwan (40,700 pieces), and Mexico (35,100 pieces).   Exports of 354,900 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were down 1 percent from the previous week and 2 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were  China (209,100 pieces), South Korea (86,800 pieces), Mexico (29,000 pieces), Taiwan (7,700 pieces), and Thailand (6,800 pieces).

Net sales of 111,000 wet blues for 2015 were up 4 percent from the previous week, but down 26 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Thailand (37,000 grain splits and 4,900 unsplit), Italy (33,200 unsplit), Mexico (27,800 grain splits and 2,200 unsplit), China (18,900 unsplit and 3,700 grain splits), and the Dominican Republic (9,600 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (41,300 unsplit and 100 grain splits) and India (5,300 unsplit).  Net sales of 75,400 wet blues for 2016 were reported for South Korea (41,300 unsplit), China (23,800 grain splits), India (6,000 unsplit), Mexico (2,200 grain splits), and Hong Kong (2,100 grain splits).  Exports of 98,200 wet blues were up 18 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Vietnam (26,800 unsplit), Thailand (9,500 unsplit and 3,800 grain splits), China (7,600 grain splits and 7,400 unsplit), and Mexico (8,900 grain splits and 5,100 unsplit).  Net sales reductions of splits totaling 334,800 pounds for 2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was Taiwan (125,400 pounds).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (426,700 pounds) and China (33,500 pounds).  For 2016, net sales reductions of 8,300 pounds were for Italy.  Exports of 555,400 pounds were down 30 percent from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were South Korea (477,300 pounds), Taiwan (40,400 pounds), and China (37,700 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 10,100 MT for 2015 were down 12 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (2,100 MT), Japan (2,100 MT), South Korea (2,000 MT), Canada (1,100 MT), and Taiwan (1,100 MT).  Exports of 12,800 MT were up 9 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,800 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), Mexico (1,600 MT), Canada (1,600 MT), and Hong Kong (1,100 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 12,100 MT for 2015 were down 16 percent from the previous week and 47 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (2,800 MT), Chile (2,700 MT), Japan (2,500 MT), South Korea (1,100 MT), and Australia (700 MT).  Decreases were reported for China (500 MT).  Exports of 15,800 MT were up 7 percent from the previous week, but down 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (5,200 MT), Japan (3,100 MT), China (1,600 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), and South Korea (800 MT).
