Wisconsin Dairy & Beef Animal Well-Being Conference

UW-Extension will be hosting the Wisconsin Dairy and Beef Animal Well-Being Conference on March 8 at Liberty Hall in Kimberly.  Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., and the meeting begins at 9 a.m. Topics include: science and legislation of animal welfare, links between cull cows and carcass quality, managing down cows, euthanasia protocols, bovine emergency response rescue planning and training, and lameness prevention.  The agenda includes breakout sessions in the afternoon and will wrap-up with a group discussion.  The event will end at 3:30 p.m.
