I am a finish swine contract grower in NC. I have been growing finish hogs under contract for more than 20 years. My swine waste storage lagoons (2) are nearly up to the limit that I can safely store and I must find an economical way to remove and distribute the accumulated sludge so I can continue to raise finish hogs.
Is there any research on swine waste sludge removal that someone out here in cyberspace can share with me.
I am familiar with pump and haul and geotech bag dewatering, but have not heard of any new innovations in this area.
I would appreciate comments and information if you have any.

Please reply under "Chat". Kind regards, Tom

Hello there I work for a custom manure operator in Ontario and we just recently purchased a lagoon crawler from nuhn industries and I highly recommend finding someone in your area that can come in with such a machine and do some proper mixing before you haul manure to fields. There is a few videos on you tube as well as on nuhn industries web site that will show you what mean . Hope this helps
