MachineryLink has Presence at Russell Consulting Group Summer Conference

Kansas City, MO  – MachineryLink, Inc., North America’s leading provider of combine leasing programs for agricultural growers, is displaying the world’s first custom-restored combine, modified by the Chrome Shop Mafia, at industry events throughout the country this summer. It recently was on display, along with its matching truck and trailer, at Russell Consulting Group’s annual summer conference in West Des Moines, IA.

It was a timely visit, says Craig Hiemstra, vice president of sales for MachineryLink, Inc., headquartered in Kansas City, MO. “Now, more than ever, North American growers are looking for innovative ways to maximize cash flow and manage risk,” he says.

While these are trying times, Moe Russell, CEO of Russell Consulting Group says he encourages his clients to keep a positive attitude. “We are seeing continued consolidation in agriculture,” he points out, “but growers have an opportunity to improve profits by utilizing new technology. A lot of these new tools really work and not everyone is adopting them.

“Those who choose not to adopt will have to be good enough to compete with those who do,” Russell adds.

Asset management is more important than ever, notes Russell, who is well-respected in ag circles. In fact, more than 225 growers and associates attended his 2009 summer conference, an event that has grown substantially over its 11-year history.

MachineryLink is all about asset management. The company owns over 265 combines and works with growers in 30 states. “These are field-ready combines, brought to growers when they need them,” says Mark Gabrick, MachineryLink Marketing Manager. “By incorporating our managed lease program into their harvest strategy, growers realize financial savings, improved cash flow and the technology benefits gained from dependable, well-calibrated, state-of-the-art equipment. In today’s economy that’s a winning combination.”

When it comes to winning, growers have another opportunity to “win big.” MachineryLink, in partnership with Farms.com, have a “Name the Combine” contest. Submit your choice(es) at: www.therenegadecombine.com The lucky finalist will win a prize valued at $1,000, to be awarded at the 2009 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, IL.

“Our approach breaks with traditional thinking about combine ownership,” says Hiemstra. “We believe we have found a better way for the farmer to have it all at harvest – the best equipment with a significantly reduced financial investment.”

MachineryLink (www.machinerylink.com) is the leading and fastest growing provider of combine leasing programs to agricultural growers in North America. Its headquarters are in Kansas City, Mo., with operational centers in Pratt, Kan. and North Sioux City, S.D. The company also maintains seasonal service facilities in five locations across the United States. MachineryLink’s unique Managed Lease program allows growers to significantly lower their equipment costs by providing the latest harvest technology and equipment with guaranteed delivery and pick-up.
