Frontier Equipment Introducess New Snow Blowers For Utility Tractors
LENEXA, Kansas — Frontier Equipment introduces a loader-mounted SB2176 Snow Blower and its SB12 Series 3-point hitch mounted snow blowers.
The SB2176 Snow Blower mounts on a tractor's loader and makes a wide, 76-inch cut. The snow blower is compatible with any current John Deere 400 Series Loader. Power for the snow blower comes from its PTO-driven, 3-point hitch mounted hydraulic power pack that doesn't utilize the tractor's hydraulic system. The self-contained power pack can be fitted with additional suitcase weights for added ballast to the rear of the tractor. Operators use the tractor's loader hydraulic controls to adjust cut height and pitch while removing snow.
"Since the unit is loader-mounted, it's very easy to maneuver and saves operators time and effort when it comes to removing snow. The SB2176 has an industry-exclusive system that automatically monitors the torque applied to the impeller. The auger automatically slows when maximum torque is sensed and this allows the impeller to move away excess snow and helps to reduce plugging during operation," says Michael Horrell, Frontier Equipment marketing manager.
For contractors, municipalities and property owners who own a utility tractor, Frontier offers the 3-point-hitch-mounted SB12 Series Snow Blowers. Two sizes are available: 74 and 80 inch.
