Raven Industries Joins PrecisionAg Institute

Raven Industries has committed their corporate and financial support to the PrecisionAg Institute, the industry’s independent global forum dedicated to the sharing of precision agriculture practices, ideas, research, products, services and success stories. The PrecisionAg Institute is managed by the CropLife® Media Group of Meister Media Worldwide.

“Raven precision technology is focused on the sustainability of agriculture—helping growers profitably and responsibly produce more food, feed, fuel and fiber with fewer inputs and less impact on the environment,” said Matt Burkhart, general manager of Raven’s Applied Technology Division. “By supporting the PrecisionAg Institute, we underscore our continued commitment to improving the position of agriculture and farmers around the world.”

The company has joined as a Precision Partner, reinforcing their commitment to improving the transfer of knowledge, the widening of adoption, and effectiveness of the use of precision agriculture technology. They join AGCO Global Technologies, Ag Leader Technology, Dickey-john, Micro-Trak Systems, Inc., OmniStar, Terra, SST Software, and Trimble Navigation. In addition to financial support, Raven Industries will be providing guidance and counsel as activities and initiatives move forward in the months ahead.

“By signing on as a Precision Partner, each one of these organizations has expressed a belief in and commitment to agriculture, and the critical importance that technology provides for improving yield, efficiency, and the bottom line for the crop production channel,” says Paul Schrimpf, group editor of the CropLife Media Group. “We are excited and honored to have each company’s leadership and support as we move forward.”

The PrecisionAg Institute will incorporate a variety of integrated media offerings to help precision agriculture practitioners better understand and use precision agriculture technology. PrecisionAg Institute activities will include research projects, an online reference library, PrecisionAg e-news, regional precision agriculture events and a PrecisionAg Hall of Fame.
