CHERILYN JOLLY-NAGEL

Raised on the Saskatchewan prairies,

Cherilyn was elected as the first female Pres-

ident for the Western Canadian Wheat

Growers Association, where she challenged

government policies that affected the

business of agriculture. Cherilyn is a leader on important

issues that impact farmers on grain transportation, gover-

nance, trade and public trust. As an International Director

for the Global Farmer Network, Cherilyn advocates for

strong global trade relations and for farmers use of techno-

logical advancements. In 2021 she was recognized as one

of Canada’s TOP 50 People of Influence in Agriculture. In

, Cherilyn has recently launched

a new online training program titled “So… your client is a

farmer.” This unique and timely training is specifically

designed to support individuals who want better business

relationships with farmers. Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel and her

husband David continue their love for the land while

growing grains, pulses, oilseed crops and… two daughters.

FUTURIST & DIGITAL STRATEGIST

Jesse Hirsh is a futurist speaker and internet

strategist. An experienced innovator and

collaborator, his passion is educating

people on the potential benefits and perils

of technology. Jesse helps audiences understand what the

future holds for them by sharing strategic, provocative and

often humorous forward-thinking insights. He makes the

discussion about new technology accessible and empow-

ers groups to embrace the opportunities available to them

Ken’s roots are in agriculture and engineer-

ing and he has been an entrepreneur for

over 40 years.

His focus has been on developing and

commercializing leading edge technologies. He has taken

over fifty products from concept through commercializa-

tion, many of which have become market leaders.

Ken’s latest venture, VeriGrain, solves a major problem in

the food chain, which will result in grain utilization and

value being maximized, easier traceability, and ultimately

more and better food getting from the field to the table.

BOB MAZER, PRESIDENT AND CEO,

MAZERGROUP

In 1959 Bob’s Father, Ed Mazer Sr., moved to

Brandon and purchased Brandon Imple-

ments, a Massey Ferguson dealership. Bob

started working at the dealership at a very

young age and at one point worked both on his family farm

and at the dealership. In 1975 Bob Mazer and his brother

Ed purchased the business from their father. Today, Mazer-

group is a privately owned group of machinery dealerships

offering agricultural, construction and commercial turf

equipment sales, parts and service. Mazergroup has

expanded to 18 locations across Manitoba and Southern

Saskatchewan. Bob is a true leader in agriculture and is

dedicated to helping the industry expand. His partnership

with technical colleges, business councils, fair boards and

agricultural organizations have ensured that our industry

remains at the forefront of technological advances and eco-

nomic policies.

TIM MCMILLAN

Tim grew up on a family farm near Lloyd-

minster, where the McMillan family first

homesteaded more than a century ago. He

founded and operated an oilfield services

company. His solid understanding of the oil

and gas industry from both a business and landowner

perspective, coupled with his background in economics,

propelled his desire to seek a seat within the Saskatchewan

Legislature. In 2007, Tim was elected as a Saskatchewan

Party MLA in the riding of Lloydminster. Tim held several

strategic cabinet portfolios in the Government of Saskatch-

ewan, including Minister of Energy and Resources and

Minister Responsible for Trade. He was appointed Presi-

dent and CEO of the Canadian Association of Petroleum

Producers (CAPP) in 2014 and served in that role for nearly

8 years.

CHRIS MORSON, RAVEN SALES

SPECIALIST

Chris joined the Raven Precision Ag sales

team in 2020, with a direct focus on OMNiP-

OWER and has since expanded his knowl-

edge in all other Raven agriculture solu-

tions. Chris concentrates his sales efforts on core products

to expand market share in Western Canada with a special

focus on driving awareness for OMNiPOWER by sharing

the Raven Path to Autonomy. Chris has an extensive 15+

year background in agriculture, with comprehensive

experience around seeding, tillage and planting, precision

ag solutions, and the full suite of ag data and logistics.

What drives Chris’s passion in autonomous agriculture is

the rewarding opportunity to share the journey to innova-

tion by helping farmers realize, adopt, and utilize the latest

farming technology to improve efficiencies and optimize

their operations to become more profitable, doing more

with less!

KAREN PROUD, PRESIDENT & CEO,

FERTILIZER CANADA

Karen Proud joined Fertilizer Canada in

April 2021, after more than two decades of

senior management roles in both the public

and private sectors. After graduating with a

Bachelor’s of Applied Science from Ryerson University in

1997, Karen began a nine-year career with Health Canada

taking on increasingly senior-level roles in the areas of

policy and legislative affairs. In 2006, Karen left the public

service to pursue opportunities in the private sector. Her
