BRYAN PRYSTUPA, SENIOR PRODUCT
OWNER, FCC AGEXPERT
Bryan Prystupa is a Senior Product Owner
with the FCC AgExpert team. He works
closely with partners and companies across
Canada to develop integrations that will
help producers utilize their digitized farm data. He has a
passion for helping advance Canadian agriculture and food
through technology.
Bryan joined FCC in 2013 with roles in lending, strategic
marketing and software development. Growing up on the
other end of the agri-food value chain, Bryan spent a lot of
time working at his parents’ food wholesale and distribu-
tion company based out of Regina, Saskatchewan.
DAVID PRZEDNOWEK, ASSISTANT VICE
PRESIDENT, GRAIN, CN
David leads the marketing activities for all
carload movement of grain and processed
grain products across the CN network,
including carload pricing, car allocation, and
commercial car supply products. His sales responsibilities at
CN cover most US-based agricultural accounts, focused on
grain merchandising along with corn, soybean, corn, and
barley processing. David is based out of Winnipeg and
grew up on a livestock and grain farm near Beausejour, MB.
He has been involved in and around the grain business his
entire career and has been with CN since the fall 2014.
KYLE SCOTT, MANAGING DIRECTOR AT
CONEXUS VENTURE CAPITAL
Kyle is a Managing Director at Conexus
Venture Capital where he’s responsible for
the firm’s investment strategy, managing two
funds - a 2019 vintage general tech fund and
Emmertech a $60-million dollar Agtech focused fund. Prior
to joining Conexus Venture Capital, Kyle was a Vice
President with Clairvest Group Inc., where he led the firm’s
agriculture investment strategy. Kyle was also an Engage-
ment Manager with McKinsey & Company where he led
projects in private equity due diligence, and strategy and
operations serving clients around the world.
KEVIN STEWART
Kevin Stewart is a sought-after and
award-winning speaker on issues related to
leadership and media influence. His unique
perspective has grown from his years as an
Olympic television producer, media entre-
preneur and a farmer. As host and producer of the AGVI-
SION television series, which aired across Canada and the
US for thirteen years, Kevin’s kids remind him that he is not
famous! Kevin insists however that he is frequently mistak-
en for people who are famous! Kevin focuses on important
issues such as Fake News and Real Problems: How the 24/7
News Cycle Impacts Our Mental Health.
DR. MEHMET TULBEK, PRESIDENT,
SASKATCHEWAN FOOD INDUSTRY
DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
Dr. Mehmet Tulbek is the President of
Saskatchewan Food Industry Development
Centre. Mehmet has been a research,
technology, and innovation leader with over 20 years of
pulses, cereals, oilseeds and plant-based foods’ global
research and development, technical services, business
development, international technical education, and
management experience.
Mehmet served as the Director of Research and Devel-
opment at AGT Food and Ingredients in Saskatoon,
Canada, and worked at Northern Crops Institute (NCI) as
Crop Quality Specialist and then as Technical Director. He
currently serves as Adjunct Professor at the University Of
Saskatchewan Department Of Food and Bioproduct
Sciences and the University of Manitoba Department of
Food and Human Nutritional Sciences.
VIKRAM VIJ, CHEF
Vikram Vij was born in India in 1964 and
lived in New Delhi and Bombay until the
age of 20, when he went to study, live and
work in Austria. Vikram moved to Canada in
1989 to work at the Banff Springs Hotel in
Alberta. In September 1994, Vikram opened Vij’s Restaurant
in Vancouver, BC. In early 1995, a passionate and a creative
Meeru Dhalwala joined him, and the two began collaborat-
ing on the menu. In 2004, Vikram and Meeru opened a
second restaurant and market called Vij’s Rangoli. In June
2014, Vikram opened his third restaurant, My Shanti, based
in South Surrey. The theme of My Shanti is based upon
Vikram’s culinary travels, and includes flavours, ingredients
and influences from all over the world. Vikram Vij is a
tireless advocate of Indian cuisine in Canada, and of buying
and eating locally produced and sustainable ingredients.
PATRICIA YOUZWA, DIRECTOR OF THE
CANADA INFRASTRUCTURE BANK
Patricia Youzwa has been a director of the
Canada Infrastructure Bank since its incep-
tion in 2017. She is also a director of the
Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada, Chair
of the Alternative Funds Advisory Committee for TD Asset
Management and a national director of the Institute of
Corporate Directors.
Ms. Youzwa is the former President and CEO of Sas-
katchewan Power Corporation. She has also held the
position of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and
Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines for the Government
of Saskatchewan.
