Tire Industry Association to renew its farm tire service training

This special tire class for farm tire technicians will be held in Iowa.

After a four-year absence, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) has renewed its training classes specific to tire technicians that work in the farm tire service industry.

Taking place in Garner, Iowa, the Advanced 200-Level Farm Tire Service hands-on class will be held on June 20-23, 2023 – the only time it will be offered in 2023.

The course workload consists of a single day of classroom instruction followed by three days of hands-on training using a service truck, hydraulic tools, and other equipment to properly service these farm vehicle tires.

Class participants can expect a full range of learning opportunities for farm service truck operation, such as:

  • site preparation, and equipment lifting;
  • hydraulic tool operation and maintenance;
  • single-piece demount, mount, and inflate on and off machine;
  • dual demount, mount, and inflate;
  • three-piece demount, mount, and inflation on the machine, and;
  • install and remove liquid ballast.

Students who successfully complete the final exam will receive a certificate of completion. Tuition is US$595.
