Farm cash receipts in Iowa surpassed the $30 billion in 2014. Iowa ranked first in the United States in corn production, harvesting more than $8 billion worth of corn; Iowa also ranked first in the country in soybean production, with farmers helping to produce more than $5 billion worth. Iowa is home to 88,000 farms that cover more than 30 million acres of land.
