The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture invites horse owners and those involved in the horse industry to learn about environmentally friendly horse farm management practices at a “Horse Pasture Walk.” The event will be held Thursday, May 8, from 4 - 6 p.m. CDT at the Middle Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center located on Highway 31 in Spring Hill.
Participants will learn environmentally friendly horse farm management practices in a hands-on setting. Topics will include pasture management, weed control and manure management as well as the latest in nutrition and parasite control for horses. This educational program is relevant for anyone involved in the horse industry, from the professional to the first-time horse owner.
