The daily spot Choice box beef cutout ended the week last Friday at $226.30, which was $9.79 lower. That was on top of the three previous weeks of falling cut out prices. There were 864 loads sold for the week in the daily boxed beef cutout. That was the largest number since mid-July and that was 13 percent of the total volume.
The comprehensive or weekly average Choice cutout, which includes all types of sales, including the daily spot cutout was $232.66. That was $2.90 lower.
There were 6,778 total loads sold, which was 438 loads higher than the previous week. The formula sales were at 3,483 loads. That was 318 loads higher than last week and was 51 percent of the total loads sold.
