USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 469,600 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 43 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Egypt (175,000 MT), Mexico (55,700 MT), the Philippines (50,900 MT), Japan (42,800 MT, including 36,200 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,200 MT), Vietnam (38,300 MT, including 8,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and unknown destinations (30,400 MT).  Decreases were reported for China (10,000 MT), Jamaica (4,800 MT), Nigeria (4,500 MT), and Colombia (4,000 MT).  Net sales of 38,000 MT for 2015/2016 were for Nigeria (24,000 MT), Mexico (11,900 MT), the French West Indies (2,000 MT), and Japan (100 MT).  Exports of 485,600 MT were down 2 percent from the previous week, but up 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (117,400 MT), Israel (47,900 MT), Yemen (47,300 MT), Mexico (46,800 MT), and Malaysia (35,100 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 7,300 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 42,900 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 828,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up 16 percent from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for Saudi Arabia (285,300 MT, including 135,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Japan (262,000 MT, including 210,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 64,600 MT), Mexico (218,000 MT), Colombia (113,900 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from Peru, 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations, and decreases of 8,700 MT), Taiwan (66,100 MT), and South Korea (64,900 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (301,900 MT).  Net sales of 158,700 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Japan (157,400 MT) and unknown destinations (1,300 MT).  Exports of 1,378,800 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 59 percent from the previous week and 91 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (402,500 MT), Mexico (231,200 MT), Colombia (162,200 MT), Saudi Arabia (145,300 MT), Egypt (131,000 MT), South Korea (67,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (42,900 MT), and Peru (33,000 MT, late reporting).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley: Net sales of 1,300 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Canada (1,200 MT) and Japan (100 MT).  There were no exports reported during the week.

Sorghum: Net sales of 182,400 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for China (380,400 MT, including 253,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,600 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (198,000 MT).  Net sales of 57,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for China (60,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (3,000 MT).  Exports of 319,400 MT were up 51 percent from the previous week and 75 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.

Rice:  Net sales of 69,300 MT for 2014/2015 were down 27 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Colombia (15,000 MT), Japan (12,000 MT), Mexico (8,600 MT), Saudi Arabia (8,600 MT), Ghana (7,000 MT), and Guatemala (6,800 MT, including 5,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and 1,000 MT switched from El Salvador).  Exports of 33,400 MT were down 64 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Saudi Arabia (9,200 MT), Guatemala (8,500 MT), El Salvador (5,400 MT), Jordan (2,800 MT), and Mexico (2,500 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 499,500 MT for 2014/2015 were up 9 percent from the previous week, but down 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for unknown destinations (136,700 MT), China (121,300 MT), Mexico (88,700 MT), Japan (49,200 MT, including 28,300 MT switched from unknown destinations), Egypt (33,000 MT), Indonesia (31,800 MT), and Colombia (20,400 MT, including 2,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Net sales of 1,700 MT for 2015/2016 were for Japan.  Exports of 768,200 MT were down 30 percent from the previous week and 50 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (490,600 MT), Taiwan (77,200 MT), Mexico (50,200 MT), Indonesia (37,800 MT), Japan (37,100 MT), Thailand (17,100 MT), and Malaysia (16,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, optional origin sales totaling 8,000 MT were reported for China.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 711,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 130,200 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Venezuela (65,000 MT, including 11,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Peru 38,200 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from Panama), Tunisia (20,000 MT), Mexico (11,500 MT), Guatemala (9,300 MT, including 7,900 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Japan (6,000 MT, including 5,100 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (22,800 MT), Panama (22,000 MT), and Trinidad (3,400 MT).  Net sales of 28,400 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Canada (27,500 MT) and Nicaragua (900 MT).  Exports of 259,800 MT were up 20 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Vietnam (52,100 MT), Peru (44,100 MT), the Dominican Republic (24,100 MT), Spain (22,000 MT), Mexico (21,100 MT), Venezuela (11,000 MT), and Canada (10,200 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 5,600 MT for 2014/2015 were down 61 percent from the previous week and 60 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (2,500 MT), Peru (1,700 MT), Canada (1,000 MT), and the Dominican Republic (100 MT).  Exports of 24,000 MT were up 26 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Morocco (15,100 MT), Mexico (4,400 MT), and Peru (4,200 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales reductions of 62,500 RB for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Thailand (13,000 RB), Egypt (8,900 RB), Taiwan (7,600 RB), Vietnam (5,800 RB), Turkey (5,100 RB), Japan (4,300 RB), and Mexico (3,500 RB).  Decreases were reported for China (114,000 RB), Indonesia (3,900 RB), Pakistan (2,300 RB), and the Philippines (1,300 RB).  Net sales of 22,000 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for Japan (12,500 RB), Thailand (5,500 RB), and South Korea (4,000 RB).  Exports of 360,800 RB--a marketing-year high--were up 87 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (93,500 RB), Vietnam (57,600 RB), Turkey (53,400 RB), South Korea (28,200 RB), and Indonesia (27,700 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 6,100 RB for 2014/2015 were down 8 percent from the previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (4,400 RB), India (600 RB), Japan (500 RB), and Thailand (300 RB).  Exports of 2,700 RB were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 57 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (1,800 RB), Peru (300 RB), and Japan (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 47,100 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 407,600 pieces reported for 2015 were up 35 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 405,300 pieces were primarily for China (254,400 pieces), South Korea (80,800 pieces), Thailand (37,900 pieces), Mexico (13,800 pieces), and Japan (7,400 pieces).  Exports of 231,600 pieces were down 6 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports totaling 222,400 pieces--a marketing-year low-- were primarily to China (159,700 pieces), South Korea (26,300 pieces), Mexico (15,700 pieces), Taiwan (11,300 pieces), and Thailand (3,300 pieces).

Net sales of 55,800 wet blues for 2015 were reported for Vietnam (58,300 unsplit), Mexico (16,100 unsplit and 7,400 grain splits), Italy (9,900 unsplit), and China (6,800 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (48,000 unsplit), Taiwan (200 grain splits), and China (100 grain splits).   Exports of 146,800 wet blues were primarily to China (48,600 unsplit), Italy (29,300 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits), Vietnam (21,600 unsplit), and Mexico (15,500 grain splits and 2,100 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 1,630,100 pounds for 2015--a marketing-year high--were reported for South Korea (1,590,100 pounds), Vietnam (37,800 pounds), and Taiwan (2,200 pounds).   Exports of 108,000 pounds were reported to Hong Kong (50,000 pounds), Taiwan (50,000 pounds), and South Korea (8,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 8,600 MT for 2015 were down 38 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (2,300 MT), South Korea (1,900 MT), Mexico (1,700 MT), Hong Kong (1,400 MT), and Canada (800 MT).  Exports of 11,800 MT were reported to Japan (3,300 MT), Hong Kong (2,500 MT), South Korea (2,400 MT), Mexico (1,600 MT), Canada (800 MT), and Taiwan (500 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 30,900 MT for 2015--a marketing-year high--were up 62 percent from the previous week and 63 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (10,600 MT), South Korea (7,200 MT), China (5,800 MT), Japan (4,900 MT), and Colombia (900 MT).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (500 MT) and Australia (300 MT).  Exports of 17,900 MT were primarily reported to Mexico (7,200 MT), Japan (3,200 MT), South Korea (2,800 MT), Canada (1,400 MT), and Australia (900 MT).
