USDA Export Sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales of 320,700 MT for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were primarily for Japan (115,100 MT, including 26,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), China (60,000 MT), Thailand (55,900 MT), Nigeria (49,400 MT, including 56,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 12,300 MT), the Dominican Republic (27,200 MT), and Trinidad (20,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (38,100 MT) Indonesia (8,000 MT), and Peru (4,300 MT).  Exports of 417,400 MT were primarily to Nigeria (84,400 MT), Mexico (64,100 MT), Brazil (59,200 MT), Japan (58,200 MT), Thailand (54,100 MT), and Peru (36,700 MT). 

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 40,000 MT, all Algeria.

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to Italy totaling 200 MT were applied to new or outstanding sales.  Decreases totaling 2,000 MT were reported in exports for own account to Italy.  The current exports for own account balance is 20,000 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 573,700 MT for 2013/2014 were up 58 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (246,900 MT, including 90,300 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 26,700 MT), Colombia (94,300 MT, including 40,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Taiwan (42,900 MT), the Philippines (39,900 MT), Mexico (37,700 MT), and Morocco (30,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (51,400 MT).  Net sales of 495,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (198,900 MT), Japan (150,400 MT), and Mexico (108,200 MT).  Exports of 907,900 MT were down 25 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (276,300 MT), Mexico (231,200 MT), South Korea (116,400 MT), Spain (64,900 MT), Colombia (43,700 MT), Peru (32,400 MT), and Guatemala (29,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 55,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  Net sales of 500 MT for 2014/1015 were reported for Taiwan.  Exports of 300 MT were reported to South Korea.

Sorghum: Net sales of 292,900 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for China (346,400 MT, including 170,000 MT reported late), and Germany (58,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (111,400 MT).  Net sales of 109,500 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Germany (58,000 MT), China (50,000 MT, reported late), and Singapore (1,500 MT) .  Exports of 143,100 MT were reported to China.

Rice: Net sales of 45,900 MT for 2013/2014 were down 41 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Colombia (20,900 MT), Honduras (14,000 MT, including 11,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (13,000 MT), Haiti (4,400 MT), and El Salvador (2,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (13,200 MT).  Net sales of 200 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Mexico.  Exports of 67,000 MT were up 91 percent from the previous week and 69 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Colombia (14,900 MT), Honduras (13,700 MT), Japan (12,100 MT), Cote D’Ivoire (10,300 MT), and Haiti (4,400 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 37,700 MT for 2013/2014 were down 33 percent from the previous week and 71 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Taiwan (44,000 MT), China (6,400 MT), Thailand (5,600 MT), Indonesia (5,500 MT), and Vietnam (5,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (28,500 MT) and Mexico (5,200 MT).  Net sales of 561,000 MT for 2014/2015 were primarily for China (365,000 MT) and unknown destinations (149,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Japan (16,800 MT).  Exports of 94,800 MT were up 6 percent from the previous week, but down 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (42,000 MT), Japan (28,000 MT), Indonesia (19,500 MT), and Taiwan (2,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 110,500 MT, all China.  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 716,000 MT, and are for China (551,000 MT), Egypt (120,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 83,800 MT for 2013/2014 were up 72 percent from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Morocco (20,000 MT), Mexico (19,900 MT), Canada (17,500 MT), Guatemala (13,500 MT, including 13,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), El Salvador (9,600 MT, including 8,900 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), and Venezuela (9,000 MT, including 10,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (35,400 MT).  Net sales of 89,600 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (55,700 MT), Egypt (27,000 MT), and Canada (4,600 MT).  Exports of 169,900 MT were up 88 percent from the previous week and 52 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (47,500 MT), Mexico (32,700 MT), Venezuela (24,000 MT), Canada (23,100 MT), and Guatemala (13,400 MT).  

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 8,300 MT for 2013/2014 were down 35 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (5,400 MT), Nicaragua (1,600 MT), Trinidad (800 MT), Canada (300 MT), and Singapore (100 MT).  Exports of 16,800 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Dominican Republic (12,600 MT), Mexico (2,200 MT), Nicaragua (1,600 MT), Trinidad (200 MT), and Canada (200 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales 20,900 RB for 2013/2014 were down 69 percent from the previous week and 68 percent the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (6,600 RB), Turkey (5,600 RB), Bangladesh (3,900 RB), South Korea (1,900 RB), China (1,800 RB), and Guatemala (1,200 RB, switched from El Salvador).  Decreases were reported for El Salvador (1,200 RB) and Japan (700 RB).  Net sales of 342,800 RB for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Turkey (148,200 RB), Mexico (45,900 RB), Vietnam (36,200 RB), and China (32,500 RB).  Exports of 81,400 RB were down 40 percent from the previous week and 41 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (24,800 RB), Mexico (19,600 RB), Turkey (11,800 RB), Taiwan (4,200 RB), and Indonesia (3,700 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 400 RB for 2013/2014 were down 13 percent from the previous week and 83 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were for Thailand (300 RB) and India (100 RB).  Net sales of 100 RB for 2014/2015 were for Japan.  Exports of 5,200 RB were primarily to China (2,700 RB), India (1,500 RB), Thailand (400 RB), and Pakistan (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 60,500 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 412,600 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were reported for delivery in 2014, up 32 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (260,100 pieces), South Korea (102,600 pieces), Mexico (10,500 pieces), Thailand (10,400 pieces), Japan (8,100 pieces), and Taiwan (7,100 pieces).  Exports of 375,200 pieces were up 14 percent from the previous week, but down 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides exports of 373,800 pieces were primarily to China (240,600 pieces), South Korea (88,400 pieces), Taiwan (14,100 pieces), Mexico (12,000 pieces), and Turkey (4,400 pieces).   

Net sales of 77,700 wet blues for 2014 were reported for Italy (38,500 unsplit), China (8,900 unsplit and 7,000 grain splits), Thailand (11,100 unsplit), and Taiwan (9,200 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (800 grain splits and 100 unsplit) and Japan (400 grain splits).  Exports of 105,100 wet blues were primarily to China (31,500 unsplit and 3,700 grain splits), Italy (17,900 unsplit), Vietnam (9,600 unsplit and 5,000 grain splits), and the Dominican Republic (6,100 unsplit and 2,200 grain splits).  Net sales of splits totaling 324,800 pounds for 2014 resulted as increases for Hong Kong (230,100 pounds), China (88,000 pounds), and South Korea (24,000 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for Vietnam (17,300 pounds).  Exports of 437,500 pounds were reported to South Korea (272,000 pounds), Vietnam (124,600 pounds), and Hong Kong (40,900 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 9,000 MT for 2014 were down 50 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (3,500 MT), Mexico (1,900 MT), South Korea (1,400 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Taiwan (300 MT).  Exports of 11,400 MT were down 27 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,800 MT), Mexico (1,800 MT), Hong Kong (1,800 MT), South Korea (1,600 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 3,400 MT for 2014 were down 62 percent from the previous week and 70 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (800 MT), China (500 MT), the Philippines (400 MT), Mexico (400 MT), and South Korea (400 MT).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (100 MT).  Exports of 6,900 MT were down 34 percent from the previous week and 29 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (2,400 MT), Japan (1,200 MT), Canada (700 MT), China (600 MT), and Hong Kong (500 MT).
