Warmer Temps Expected To Return

While most of the Prairies are braving cold temperatures, there is good news on the horizon.

G3 Weather and Crop Specialist Bruce Burnett says the warmer temperatures should return in the coming days.

"It's looking a lot better for this week, so certainly by the middle of March here, we're going to see some better temperatures across the Prairies and even on the eastern side of the Prairies which has seen some pretty severe weather over the past week in terms of cold and blowing snow."

Burnett adds that temperatures should be above normal for the next week to 10 days.

He notes that while there are some concerns that the recent snowfall will impact the spring flood potential, the area that was impacted in western Manitoba had been fairly dry up until now.
