Queretaro F.C., who play in Mexico’s top soccer tier, are nicknamed Los Gallos Blancos, or “The White Roosters.”
A Mexican journalist gave this team the nickname based on the players’ willingness to compete for every ball, paired along with the team’s white uniforms.
The team’s mascot is also a rooster.
