Pigs in Vermont

About 250 pigs escaped from a farm in Orange, Vt. in August 2019 after the animals made it through a damaged gate.

The pigs chased cars and pedestrians.

Farm workers and volunteers used hot dog buns to lure the animals and corralling to get the pigs back onto the farm.

Walter Jeffries, the hog farmer who owned the escapees, faced almost US$140,000 in fines as of September 2019, NBC5 reported
