An international team of researchers found traces of cheese on 7,200-year-old pottery. They came across this cheese while searching for clues about Mediterranean food storage.
The scientists analyzed the carbon content of food residues to determine whether they came from meat, milk or cheese.
The cheese may have been like feta, one of the researchers said.
