The Dagg Poltergeist

The Dagg Poltergeist

In fall 1889, George and Susan Dagg, farmers from Clarendon, Que., experienced paranormal activity.

The couple had three children of their own, and Dinah, an adopted 11-year-old orphan from Scotland.

Whenever Dinah was around, strange things – like spontaneous fires, objects flying around rooms and an empty rocking chair starting to move – occurred.

That year, 17 farmers and community leaders signed witness statements to declare they’d seen unusual things happen at the Dagg farm.
