BASF Agricultural Solutions is restructuring its global organization, appointing Leta LaRush to lead its U.S. business while enhancing customer focus, streamlining decision-making, and strengthening integrated crop solutions for farmers.
BASF Agricultural Solutions says it is taking another step in its evolution toward becoming a more agile and customer-focused organization by announcing a series of leadership and structural changes designed to support its future as a standalone business. The company says the new operating model will enhance strategic flexibility, simplify decision-making, and enable teams to respond more quickly to farmer needs.
A key component of the transition is the appointment of Leta LaRush as Senior Vice President of BASF Agricultural Solutions United States, effective October 1, 2026. LaRush will lead the company's largest agricultural market globally, overseeing efforts to strengthen customer relationships and continue delivering crop production innovations as the business prepares for a new era.
According to BASF, the organizational changes are intended to create a stronger balance between global strategic leadership and local commercial execution. The company believes this approach will allow teams closer to customers to make faster decisions while maintaining alignment with broader corporate objectives.
For farmers, the move is expected to reinforce BASF's Crop Systems strategy, which integrates products, technologies, and services throughout the crop production cycle. Rather than focusing on individual products, the approach aims to connect solutions from seed selection through harvest, helping producers address agronomic challenges with more comprehensive and coordinated support.
In announcing her new role, Leta LaRush emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong customer focus throughout the transition.
"The United States is BASF Agricultural Solutions' largest market globally and our team has an important responsibility to deliver meaningful value to customers every day while we prepare to operate as an independent company," LaRush said. She added that continuing to listen to customers and support employees will remain top priorities as the company moves forward.
BASF leadership expressed confidence in LaRush's ability to guide the business through the next phase of growth. Maximilian Becker, a member of the BASF Agricultural Solutions Management Board, highlighted her extensive industry experience, commercial expertise, and customer-first leadership style as key strengths for the role.
LaRush brings significant agricultural leadership experience to the position. Prior to her U.S. appointment, she served as Vice President and Head of BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada, leading the Canadian business and contributing to the company's North American leadership team.
The new global organizational structure is expected to take effect on January 1, 2027. BASF says the changes will help the business maintain its commitment to delivering innovative solutions across the entire crop cycle while adapting to a more independent operating model.
