CAAR—the Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers—is hosting a four-day silent auction running February 8-11, 2022, the CAAR Pro-Ag Investments Online Auction.

The Pro-Ag Investments Auction will be hosted during the 2022 CAAR Conference, providing bidders more time to view and decide on which items you want to bid on.

There’s plenty of cool items to bid on, featuring a plethora of prizes donated by its membership companies, including but limited to: AGTIV – Premier Tech; TerraLink Horticulture; BrettYoung Seeds; IRM Sherritt; Meridian Mfg; Nutrien; SeCan; and SUL4R-PLUS.

Items include such diverse fare as:

  • Six 400ml bottles of Recover PO4, a phosphate solubilizer with the active ingredient being penicillium bilaii, that makes soil and fertilizer phosphate more plant available for early vigour, increased root growth and more leaf surface area;
  • A truckload of potash. Yup. A truckload of potash;
  • A 2022 Team Canada Olympic package of apparel featuring a replica hockey jersey, hoodie, Dri-Fit wool adjustable cap, and a Team Canada 2022 Nike Core cotton T-shirt;
  • An Apple iPad 10.2" 64GB with Wi-Fi (9th Generation)
  • … and much, much more.

The Pro-Ag Investment’s Auction is CAAR’s only fundraiser, which provides it with up to 10 per cent of its annual revenue—monies of which it utilizes to directly support its advocacy activities, provide support of industry initiatives, offer agricultural scholarships, integrate upgrades to existing programs and services and initiate and develop new ones.

CAAR is working with CharityAuctionsToday to facilitate the online auction. Here’s how it works:

  • Pre-register on the auction website: https://www.charityauctionstoday.com/auctions/2022-caar-pro-ag-auction-24560, and you’re ready to start viewing and bidding on items;
  • Browse the items to determine which items you would like to bid on;
  • Bid on items from the comfort of your home or office online or on your mobile device;
  • Outbid Notifications - You will receive notifications by text and email when you’re outbid so you can re-bid quickly;
  • Checkout - Winning bidders are invoiced for items over $1,000 or otherwise charged on their credit card for items below that amount.

Auction items will be available to preview ahead of the event and bidding will open on February 8, 10:00 am CST and close on February 10, 3:30 pm CST.
