AI driven feed system rollout improves supply chain efficiency nationwide

BinSentry and Trouw Nutrition have expanded their partnership in Canada to strengthen feed supply chain operations using advanced technology. The agreement will see BinSentry’s ProSense Feed platform and sensor technology deployed across all Trouw Nutrition facilities in the country.

This expansion marks a major step forward in how feed inventory is managed. What began as a basic monitoring system has now become a powerful solution that supports full operational improvement. The platform uses artificial intelligence to provide better insights into inventory levels and helps companies make informed decisions in real time.

Earlier, Trouw Nutrition tested the system at selected locations to improve visibility and reduce feed shortages. The results were positive, with improvements in delivery efficiency, stronger coordination, and fewer service disruptions. Based on this success, the company decided to expand the system across its entire Canadian network.

“What began as a tool for improving visibility and reducing outages has become a strategic operational platform capable of optimizing how feed manufacturers manage inventory, ordering, logistics, and customer service across entire ecosystems,” said Tim Karl, Vice President of Milling at BinSentry.

Leaders from Trouw Nutrition also emphasized the value of this expansion. “After seeing the operational improvements generated through our initial deployment of BinSentry’s technology, it became clear there was substantially more strategic value available through a broader rollout,” said David Crossan, General Manager, Central Region at Trouw Nutrition Canada.

He added, “Expanding across our Canadian network allows us to further optimize inventory management, delivery coordination, and customer service throughout our operations.”

The expanded partnership reflects a larger trend in the agriculture industry. Companies are increasingly adopting digital tools and connected systems to improve efficiency and reduce risks. By using AI-powered solutions, feed manufacturers can create smarter and more reliable supply chains.
