New partnership combines seeding expertise with global dealer strength

Bourgault Industries Ltd. has announced a new strategic alliance with CNH, creating opportunities to bring advanced seeding equipment to more farmers around the world. The partnership combines Bourgault's expertise in seeding technology with CNH's strong global distribution network, including the well-known Case IH and New Holland brands.

The collaboration aims to meet the changing needs of modern farming operations across North America, Australia, and other important agricultural markets. Through the agreement, Bourgault will provide co-branded seeding solutions designed to improve farm productivity, efficiency, and agronomic performance.

Company leaders say the alliance will allow both organizations to build on their strengths. Bourgault brings decades of experience in developing innovative seeding systems, while CNH contributes to extensive dealer networks and integrated technology capabilities. Together, they plan to provide farmers with greater access to advanced equipment and precision agriculture solutions.

“This strategic commercial alliance with CNH creates new opportunities to expand Bourgault Industries' reach and reflects our shared commitment to innovation, customer success, and creating greater value for farmers. CNH brings strong complementary capabilities and global reach, helping make Bourgault seeding technology available to more farmers in more markets,” said Bill Glanville, Group President of Bourgault Industries Ltd.

He added, “Through this alliance, Bourgault will continue to operate as an independent company and brand, building on more than 50 years of customer focus, agronomic leadership, and rapid innovation to deliver the intelligent seeding solutions farmers expect from Bourgault.”

“Our customers expect us to deliver a strong, comprehensive portfolio with the right technology behind it,” said Gerrit Marx, Chief Executive Officer at CNH. “By combining complementary strengths, this alliance enhances our ability to compete, creates new opportunities for our dealers, and enables us to invest more in the technologies shaping the future of agriculture, including precision technology, automation, and integrated farming solutions.”

Bourgault remains committed to advancing research and development to help farmers improve productivity and profitability. The company plans to use the expanded market opportunities created by the alliance to accelerate innovation in seeding systems, digital technologies, and precision agriculture products.

The company will continue manufacturing, marketing, and supporting Bourgault-branded equipment through its existing dealer network. Its long-standing focus on quality, innovation, testing, and customer support will remain unchanged.

Video: Understanding the Basics of the Renewable Fuel Standard

On Friday, April 24, 2026, from 12 noon–1:00 ET, the Penn State Center for Agricultural and Shale Law, alongside the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s (PDA) Agricultural Business Development Center (ABDC), presented this webinar in the Understanding Agricultural Law Educational Series, a course designed to develop subject matter literacy and competence on fundamental issues of agricultural law for attorneys and business advisors who work with or represent agricultural or rural clients but may not necessarily specialize in agricultural law:

“Understanding the Basics of the Renewable Fuel Standard”

The Clean Air Act’s Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program requires transportation fuel sold in the United States to contain a minimum volume of renewable fuels such as ethanol, biodiesel, or advanced biofuels. Established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and later expanded by the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, the RFS is implemented by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in collaboration with the Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

This webinar provides an overview of the legal authority and structure for the RFS program and explain how it works, including the program’s system of Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) and categories of renewable fuels. Additionally, this webinar addresses EPA annual volume requirement rulemaking and associated recent legal issues.
