National Farm Event Highlights Women Leadership and Innovation in Agriculture Today
Canada’s Farm Show Regina, SK, presented by Bunge, says the show is aligned with the United Nations’ declaration of 2026 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer. The event aims to celebrate the important role women play in agriculture and to encourage stronger leadership, innovation, and opportunities across the agri-food sector.
As part of this initiative, the show will include special programming focused on women in agriculture. One key feature is the Powering Prosperity: Canada Powered by Women National Tour 2026, presented by Deloitte. This national program will promote discussions on leadership, energy, and agriculture while encouraging practical solutions and policy development to support long-term industry growth.
"Canada’s Farm Show has always been a platform for the ideas and people shaping the future of agriculture in this country,” said Trent Fraser, Acting President & Chief Executive Officer of the Regina Exhibition Association Limited.
“Aligning with the International Year of the Woman Farmer is both a natural fit and an important step forward. Women are driving innovation, strengthening rural economies, and leading across every part of the agri-food system, yet structural barriers continue to limit opportunity. Through initiatives like the Powering Prosperity tour, we are elevating these voices and helping turn dialogue into tangible outcomes that expand opportunity and strengthen growth across the sector."
