Custom grain cart celebrates iconic Case IH® boxcar tractor heritage
DEMCO® Products has introduced the Boxcart™ 1000 Single Auger Grain Cart, a special project developed in collaboration with Case IH®. The custom grain cart was created to match the iconic Case IH® 7250 Magnum tractor owned by farming content creator James Pieper.
Pieper is known for sharing his farming journey through his All About Farming social media channels. Over the last several years, he has documented the challenges and successes of rebuilding a family farming operation on land once farmed by his grandparents in Minnesota. His story has attracted a large audience interested in agriculture, equipment, and rural life.
The Boxcart™ was designed to reflect the character and history of Pieper's tractor. Early Case IH® Magnum tractors earned the nickname "boxcar" because of their square, flat-sided appearance. These machines became popular for their reliability and strong performance and remain well known among farmers today.
To capture that heritage, the Boxcart™ features custom decals and striping inspired by the original styling of Pieper's Magnum tractor. The project continues DEMCO® 's tradition of building unique equipment that celebrates important tractors and farming stories.
Beyond its appearance, the grain cart offers practical benefits for farm operations. The Boxcart™ includes a single auger system, a two-stage slope design, and an auger-in-sump configuration that helps grain move efficiently toward the unloading point. These features support faster unloading and improved cleanout during harvest.
The Boxcart™ also marks an important milestone for Pieper as he expands the equipment fleet on his farm. The grain cart combines performance with a design that honors the history of a classic tractor and the values of family farming.
Farmers and visitors can see the Boxcart™ and Pieper's Magnum tractor together at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. The display highlights how modern equipment can celebrate agricultural heritage while providing practical solutions for today's farms.
