Read about updates from Ag Leader, Case IH, and tech from the National Farm Machinery Show

The Spring 2025 edition of the Farms.com Precision Agriculture Digital Digest is live!

Now is your chance to learn about dozens of equipment and tech upgrades that could take your farm operation to the next level.

Inside the digest readers will find information about Ag Leader’s RightPath passive implement steering solution.

This piece of precision ag tech keeps implements centered on a guidance line.

This ensures “precise input placement but also increases operational efficiency throughout the growing season by minimizing crop damage, yield loss, and operator stress,” Logan Handsaker, a product sales specialist with Ag Leader, told the Digital Digest.

Case IH is bringing a new solution called SenseApply to Patriot and Trident machines.

SenseApply is the manufacturer’s version of Sense & Act technology, which collects environmental data and makes the necessary machine function adjustments.

“It boils down to a single cab-mounted camera that gives us a number of different live variable rate applications (VRA) as well as capability to upgrade to green-on-brown spot spray capability,” said Alex Caldwell, a crop application marketing manager with Case IH.

Technology showcased at the National Farm Machinery Show is also included in the spring digest.

HORSCH, for example, is launching a new option, a factory-installed row cleaner system, on the 40 SD and the 60 MD Avatar models. These are currently available as a retrofit option.

And the Blu-Jet At3015 fertilizer applicator features new options, including a newly designed row unit and a new split application option.

In the Bits & Bytes section of the Digital Digest, readers can learn about additional technological news from around the ag world.

In Illinois, for example, two engineering students at Southern Illinois University Carbondale created a robotic prototype that inspects soybean crops and navigates fields, setting the stage for future autonomous solutions.

And KIOTI introduced KIOTI Connect, a remote monitoring platform providing equipment tracking, AI insights and more.

Video: A Farm Song (Busy) | Parody of A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey

Lyrics:

My days begin with workin’, Alarm’s at 5 o’clock,
I Fill 5 gallon buckets, The feeders and the troughs,
This five to nine ain’t workin’, why the heck do I work so hard?,
I can’t worry ‘bout health problems, I can sleep in when I’m gone,

One, here comes the two to the three to the four,
Tell em’ ‘buy another cow, we need plenty more’,
Blue jeans are gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
There’s another flock of sheep that still needs feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

I’ve been working pretty stressed but,
I ain’t changing for some cash,
Lord knows that I’m very blessed (More chores),
But I gotta say it’s hard,
Workin’ outside gettin’ charred,
Living out here on the farm, (more chores)

One, here comes the two to the three to the four,
Tell em’ ‘buy another cow, we need plenty more’,
Blue jeans are gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history
There’s another 20 chickens that still need feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Everybody on the farm getting’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Fun, here on ranch that’s what you can’t ignore,
Might be pretty hard but I love it to its core,
Flannel’s gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores (Tell ‘em sing with me)

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
There’s another flock of sheep that still needs feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
Watching cattle in the dark, don’t miss me,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
(Yeeeeeehaw)
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
It’s the best bro, go get yourself a farm
