A farmer from Ontario’s Huron County wants to replace Jagmeet Singh as the leader of the federal NDP.
Tony McQuail, who has run Meeting Place Organic Farm in Lucknow since 1973, has received enough community support to begin putting a team together.
“I’ve received lots of positive feedback,” he told Farms.com. “The next stage is for me to reach out and ask people how they’d like to support me, whether it’s with their skills and talents, or through a financial contribution.”
The federal party has set out its parameters for the upcoming leadership race.
It officially begins in September 2025 with a $100,000 entry fee.
