Canada's agriculture minister returned from Europe with a renewed focus on expanding market access and strengthening trade relationships for Canadian farmers and agri-food exporters.
Agriculture Minister Heath MacDonald concluded a mission to France and Belgium that included participation in the G7 Agriculture Ministers' Meeting in Paris and a series of meetings with European political and industry leaders aimed at advancing Canadian agricultural interests.
A key component of the visit included a roundtable with Canadian grain and oilseed organizations, including Canola Council of Canada, Cereals Canada, and Pulse Canada, alongside European importers and stakeholders.
Discussions focused on regulatory issues, market access, and opportunities to strengthen bilateral trade relationships.
