The Conservative platform includes a promise to include farmers as part of tax reform.
Producers would be included in a Tax Reform Task Force.
The task force’s job “will be to deliver a simple, fair tax code,” that cuts red tape and makes tax filing simpler, the platform says.
Other commitments include passing farmland protection legislation, and putting defibrillators in RCMP vehicles to support people in rural communities.
