In January, a bill introduced in the House of Representatives proposed moving non-national security related agency headquarters out of Washington, D.C. and into communities that best reflect those agencies.
Stationing the USDA somewhere like Iowa makes sense, said Iowa Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson, who introduced the bill.
As of June, the bill hasn’t passed the first stage.
