Walmart has launched its first fully owned and operated case-ready beef facility in Olathe, Kansas.
This 300,000-square-foot plant is a major step in building a strong and transparent supply chain for Angus beef across the Midwest.
The new facility processes fresh beef from Sustainable Beef LLC, a producer-based company in Nebraska, into case-ready cuts.
These cuts are then shipped directly to Walmart’s Midwest stores. Walmart invested in Sustainable Beef in 2022 to strengthen its farm-to-store beef pipeline.
