In January, Kawasaki Motors and John Deere recalled more than 41,000 John Deere ZTrack Zero Turn mowers because of potential fire and burn hazards.
“The voltage regulator in the mower’s engine can fail during use or while the product is being stored, causing the engine to overheat, posing fire and burn hazards,” the Jan. 2 recall says.
Kawasaki had received five reports of fires and 26 reports of melting or smoking, but no injuries reported.
