In July, Walmart launched its first fully owned and operated case-ready beef facility in Olathe, Kan.
The new 300,000-square-foot facility processes fresh beef from Sustainable Beef LLC, a producer-based company in Nebraska, into case-ready cuts.
These cuts are then shipped directly to Walmart’s Midwest stores. Walmart invested in Sustainable Beef in 2022 to strengthen its farm-to-store beef pipeline.
Walmart says the plant ensures better value, consistency, and quality beef for its customers.
