Row crop farmers across the Midwest and Great Plains now have a clearer picture of expected payments under a new federal aid program.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently released per acre payment rates for crops covered under the $11 billion Farmer Bridge Assistance Program.
Payments are based on 2025 planted acres and national average production costs and losses.
Farmers who qualify are expected to receive payments by the end of February.
