BASF is helping connect the farm to the fuel market with Circalo Low Carbon Intensity Crops, a new approach designed to help growers participate in emerging low carbon fuel programs.

Speaking with Farms.com, Chad Asmus of BASF explained that the initiative is designed to support growers as the industry prepares for the implementation of the federal 45Z Clean Fuel Production Tax Credit.

The program focuses on creating a stronger link between farm-level practices and ethanol production while providing potential financial incentives for farmers who adopt practices that reduce carbon intensity.

A key component of the effort is xarvio FIELD MANAGER, BASF’s digital agronomic platform.
