Six student leaders chosen to guide National FFA through 2027

The National FFA Organization has announced its 2026-27 National Officer Team following elections held during the final session of the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.

Six student members from across the United States were selected to represent more than one million FFA members and help guide the organization over the next year. The newly elected officers come from Idaho, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, and Ohio.

The officer team was chosen through a competitive selection process involving 41 candidates. Participants completed interviews and evaluations conducted by the National FFA Officer Nominating Committee before delegates selected the final six leaders.

The newly elected team includes:

  • Josie Jennings of Ohio was elected national president. She is a member of the Global Impact FFA Chapter.

  • Cameron Addington of Minnesota was elected national secretary. He is a member of the Cannon Falls FFA Chapter.

  • Aiden Manley of Kentucky was elected eastern region vice president. He is a member of the Menifee County FFA Chapter.

  • Joshua Nelson of Idaho was elected western region vice president. He is a member of the Troy FFA Chapter.

  • Jazmin Palma of North Carolina was elected southern region vice president. She is a member of the Uwharrie Charter Academy FFA Chapter.

  • Teagan Erbele of North Dakota was elected central region vice president. She is a member of the Napoleon FFA Chapter.

These officers will serve as representatives of the National FFA Organization during the coming year. Their responsibilities extend beyond leadership within the organization. They will work with students, teachers, agricultural organizations, business leaders, government representatives and industry partners throughout the United States.

Each year, National FFA members elect six officers to represent different regions of the country. The positions include a national president, national secretary and vice presidents representing the central, southern, eastern and western regions.

The officers play an important role in supporting agricultural education and youth leadership development. Through conferences, workshops and special events, they help FFA members build communication, leadership, and career skills.

As national representatives, the officers travel widely to meet students and educators while promoting opportunities in agriculture. They help strengthen connections between local FFA chapters and the broader agricultural community.

The team also contributes to discussions about the future of the organization. Officers work with FFA leaders and stakeholders to help develop programs and initiatives that support members and agricultural education nationwide.

The election reflects FFA's commitment to preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders. By providing leadership experiences and personal growth opportunities, the organization helps students develop skills that can benefit them in agriculture and many other career fields.

Many FFA members view the national officer program as one of the highest honors available within the organization. Serving as a national officer requires dedication, strong communication skills, and a commitment to representing fellow members.

Over the next year, the newly elected officers will participate in training sessions, conferences and outreach activities across the country. Their goal will be to inspire members, encourage leadership development, and support FFA's mission of preparing students for future success.

With a new leadership team in place, National FFA is positioned to continue promoting agricultural education, personal growth and career readiness among young people across the United States. The officers will play a key role in helping members achieve their goals while supporting the long-term success of the organization.
