Violet McNaughton

In 1972, McNaughton was nominated by the Saskatoon Press Club to the Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame. She was born in England and came to Canada in 1909. She served as president of the Women’s Grain Growers Association and the Interprovincial Council for Farm Women. She was an editor for 25 years. She received the Order of the British Empire from King George V in 1934 and an honorary doctor of laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1951.
