Partnership aims to develop next generation side by side vehicles.

John Deere and Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA have announced a new collaboration focused on developing future side-by-side (SxS) vehicles. The partnership brings together the strengths of two well-known global brands with the goal of creating innovative vehicles designed to meet changing customer needs.

Under the agreement, Yamaha will contribute its experience in powertrain technology and vehicle design. John Deere will provide its vehicle development expertise, U.S. manufacturing capabilities, and valuable customer knowledge gained through years of serving agricultural, commercial, and recreational markets.

Company leaders say the partnership is expected to accelerate product innovation and deliver greater value to customers. By combining resources and expertise, both organizations hope to develop highly capable vehicles that offer performance, reliability, and versatility across a variety of applications.

"We are excited about this relationship and the opportunities it creates for Yamaha, John Deere, our dealers, and most importantly, our customers," said Dean Burnett, Yamaha Motorsports President. "Together, two trusted global brands can accelerate innovation and bring greater value to the market."

John Deere executives also emphasized the shared commitment both companies have to quality and innovation. The companies believe their combined engineering capabilities and strong dealer support systems will help create products that stand out in a competitive marketplace.

Despite working together on vehicle development, Yamaha and John Deere will continue operating under their own brands. Each company will maintain its existing dealer network, sales channels, and customer relationships. This approach allows both organizations to preserve their brand identities while benefiting from the partnership's technological and manufacturing advantages.

Side by side vehicles are used in a wide range of industries and activities, including agriculture, property maintenance, outdoor recreation, landscaping, and utility work. As customer expectations evolve, manufacturers are increasingly focused on delivering vehicles that offer greater durability, improved performance, and enhanced comfort.

The collaboration reflects a growing trend within the transportation and equipment industries where companies combine specialized expertise to speed product development and deliver innovative solutions. By leveraging Yamaha's experience in vehicle engineering and John Deere's manufacturing capabilities, the partners aim to create products that meet the needs of both recreational and professional users.

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is a major participant in the outdoor recreation industry. Its product portfolio includes motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, side by side vehicles, personal watercraft, boats, outboard motors, golf cars, robotics equipment, and a variety of accessories and apparel. The company operates multiple facilities and subsidiaries across the United States.

"John Deere and Yamaha share a commitment to quality, innovation, and strong dealer networks," said Jon Chase, Vice President, John Deere Turf and Compact Utility Business Unit. "This collaboration will enable us to develop differentiated products that excite customers and create meaningful value."

John Deere is recognized globally for its agricultural, construction, turf, and utility equipment. The company has built a strong reputation for quality machinery and customer support through an extensive dealer network.

While specific product details have not yet been released, both companies confirmed that information about future vehicles will be announced at a later date. For now, customers and dealers can expect the partnership to focus on developing advanced side by side vehicles designed to deliver innovation, durability, and value.

The agreement marks an important step for both organizations as they work together to create the next generation of side-by-side vehicles for customers across North America and beyond.
