Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Apr 06, 2018

The week of Apr 02, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 102.325. Compared to last week’s ending price of 102.575 the price of live cattle dropped by 0.2%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Apr 03, 2018 when the price was at 99.625.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 10.8%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 114.775 and have since dropped to 102.325.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2017, the price was at 98.65. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 3.7%.

On Mar 07, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 96.45.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 192379. Its worst performing day came on Apr 06, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 31352.
