Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Apr 26, 2019

The week of Apr 22, 2019 saw the price of live cattle end at 115.05. Compared to last week’s ending price of 122.675 the price of live cattle dropped by 6.2%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Apr 26, 2019 when the price was at 115.05.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 4.7%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 120.725 and have since dropped to 115.05.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2018, the price was at 109.1. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 5.5%.

On May 16, 2018, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 105.5.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 183954. Its worst performing day came on Apr 23, 2019, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 23959.
