Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Aug 02, 2019

The week of Jul 29, 2019 saw the price of live cattle end at 107.825. Compared to last week’s ending price of 109.9 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.9%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Jul 31, 2019 when the price was at 107.65.

Between Jul 02, 2019 and Aug 02, 2019 the price of live cattle rose by 2.3%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 105.35 and have now jumped to 107.825.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2018, live cattle prices were at 113.025. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 4.6%.

On May 18, 2018, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 106.325.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 132042. Its worst performing day came on Jul 29, 2019, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 18779.
