Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Aug 10, 2018

The week of Aug 06, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 109.25. Compared to last week’s ending price of 112 the price of live cattle dropped by 2.5%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Aug 09, 2018 when the price was at 109.05.

Between Jul 10, 2018 and Aug 10, 2018 the price of live cattle rose by 1.3%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 107.825 and have now jumped to 109.25.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2017, the price was at 105.25. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 3.8%.

On Aug 17, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 105.25.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 116227. Its worst performing day came on Aug 08, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 18322.
